Tell us about your project
e.g., research, intake, interviews, drafting documents, interface with the public or clients, courtroom or other hearing experience, etc.
Is the work appropriate for 1Ls or evening students? Is travel required? Is proficiency in a certain language(s) required?
Please provide a breakdown of estimated hours for training, meetings, and the number of hours per week. How often will student volunteers meet (days and times of weekly commitments or days of specific workshops)?
Please include the substance of the training and whether students will require access to any sort of platform.
Is there a minimum number of student participation you need to make sure the program is a success? Is there a limit to how many students the project can accommodate?
e.g., training, transportation, interpreters, working with students' schedules, security clearance, tracking students' hours, etc.
Supervisor Information
Your supervisor should be a currently licensed attorney who has been licensed for at least two years. The Public Interest Department Director will be in contact with your supervisor, so please make sure all information is accurate.
This may be your student organization's faculty advisor or a faculty member who has agreed to supervise the project.
Is your faculty advisor your supervising attorney?
Supervisor Contact
If you are working with an external (non-LLS) organization, please list the attorney you've been in communication with.
What are your expectations for the supervising attorney? How often will you, the student leaders, check in with the supervising attorney?
